As we mark another milestone in Arula’s journey, I find myself in a reflective state, contemplating the remarkable path we have traversed since our inception. From the outset, Arula was conceived not merely as a business but as an innovation towards supporting the nonprofit sector. An organization dedicated to assisting clients in navigating the complexities of fundraising while also empowering small organizations with “shoestring budgets” through equal access to expertise as their larger counterparts.

The inception of Arula was rooted in a vision of transformation — transformation within the nonprofit landscape as well as the broader consulting sector we operate in. I envisioned Arula as a catalyst within that sector, to accelerate the realization of a system in which for-profit organizations take on similar risk to the nonprofits they hope to serve. This vision was propelled by a belief in making professional fundraising services accessible to any sized organization and reaching some of those who need it the most.

Reflecting on Arula’s growth, I am thankful, humbled, and frankly blown away by the support of our clients, the community, and our wonderful Arula staff, who put their hearts into this company every day. Our growth has not been measured solely by the number of clients we have assisted or the funds we have secured but by the amazing relationships we have made and stories of success I witness every day.

In this moment of reflection, I am filled with gratitude for the journey thus far and excitement for the path that lies ahead. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated team and a special shout-out to my colleague Kendra Kellogg, for taking what I started and turning it into one of the most well-organized and impressively managed companies I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

Here’s to the next chapter in Arula’s story and another five years of making great memories together!

Sincerely,

Alex Koenigsberg
