Burrito – Asada

Our journey commenced with the burrito, a classic choice featuring asada. While the burrito leaned on the heavier side with rice, the rice itself boasted a delightful flavor that contributed positively to the dish. Surprisingly, the balance was well-maintained, and the rice did not overpower the other elements. The meat also carried a hint of spiciness that added a pleasant kick. What set this burrito apart were the vegetables, which had a satisfying crunch and a freshness that outshone many other trucks we have dined with.

Mexiburger

Now, onto an unexpected yet delightful twist – the Mexiburger. I know, I know, it is sacrilegious to order a burger at a Mexican joint. But this came so highly rated to us, we had to try it and to be honest, it might just be the best cheeseburger in town. This unconventional burger featured unique toppings like peppers, avocados, and even some carrots?? But they all harmonized seamlessly. The highlight was an extraordinary sauce with a subtle kick that elevated the burger to new heights. If you appreciate a simple-style, greasy, and a bit sloppy cheeseburger, this is the one for you. The only minor suggestion was that the beef patty could have been a bit larger to match the burger’s overall excellence.

Avocado Salsa

The avocado salsa, while a departure from traditional Mexican salsas, did not disappoint. It carried a touch more spice compared to other avos, delivering a creamy, delightful texture that was nothing short of great.

Red Salsa

This one packed a spicy punch, also boasting a stronger vinegar taste that made it a standout.

I will also add that we have tried tacos and other burritos here in the past. They have all been consistently great, with large servings of meat and heavy cilantro. In fact, we have often separated the two tortillas they use per tacos to split the toppings and make two tacos.

Conclusion

Maggie’s Tacos stands out due to fantastic taste and great value. The asada burrito, though featuring heavy rice, wowed us with its flavorful rice and fresh, crunchy vegetables. The Mexiburger, a surprising gem, might just win the title of the town’s best cheeseburger, thanks to its unique toppings and exceptional sauce. The avocado salsa, with an extra hint of spice, pleased our palates, while the red salsa, with its fiery vinegar kick, provided an exhilarating experience.

If you’re seeking a dining adventure that combines the best of Mexican flavors with unexpected twists, Maggie’s Tacos is a must-visit. The diverse menu offerings promise something for everyone, and the flavors are sure to leave a lasting impression. Whether you’re a local or passing through, don’t miss the opportunity to savor the Mexiburger and explore the inventive salsas at this exceptional establishment.
